Conventions Used in This Book
Throughout the book, various conventions are used to identify items such as program code, file names,
data types, etc. A fixed-pitch font is used for those sorts of things. Blocks of code are normally
set off as a separate section, and have a gray background. Emphasized items are typically in an
italic font.
